Every year since 2009, the sisters host this event, gathering with their family and friends to participate in a 5K averaging 300 participants of all ages. Their chapter alone has raised over $150,000 so far to benefit essential research and advocacy efforts for autism spectrum disorders.
In 2012, the women's fraternity reached a milestone of $1,000,000 raised for this awesome charity. Philanthropy is one of the biggest aspects of fraternity culture and inspires its members as well as the community they serve to give their time and efforts to making the world a brighter, more aware place.
To show our support for the wonderful and hard work of this year's 5K participants, TeaDrops sent over motivating postcards equipped with discount codes that were given to each participant this year. After all, what better way to celebrate a job well done than with a delicious cup of tea? Of course, this is just a simple gesture of gratitude--we at TeaDrops couldn't be prouder of our wonderful community.
Many thanks to TeaDrops communitea member Rachael, of Alpha Xi Delta, who reached out to us to bring this great collaboration into fruition. We hope that she and her sisters are enjoying many yummy cups of tea with us. Congratulations on each and every one of your for a job very well done!
