This month's newsletter is dedicated to mothers everywhere as we explore great gift ideas for Mother's Day. We will also highlight a new addition to the Tea Drops tea family and keep you posted on our events schedule. As always, if there is something you'd love to see in your Tea Drops newsletter, let us know by dropping us a note on any one of our social channels!

Mother's Day is May 10 this year and we have a treasury of wonderfully personal and pampering gift ideas for mom. From engraved personalized boxes to a guided tour of teatime traditions around the world, Tea Drops has you covered.

We absolutely love our wooden tea boxes not only because they are eco-friendly alternatives to disposable boxes, but because the lightweight yet hearty paulownia wood makes them beautiful keepsakes.

Teatime is a time of reflection, relaxation, or reconnecting with oneself or dear friends and family. What a better way to thank the moms in our lives by giving them a gift steeped in love? (no pun intended!) Our teas are all-organic and loaded with health benefits. Instead of chocolate, consider tea this Mother's Day!

Additionally, with custom tea assortments avaialble in our shop, you can pick and choose from our numerous collections to find the match that speaks to your recipient's tastes and preferences. Tea Drops are invidually wrapped another wonderful way to integrate a tea-themed gift is to decorate a mug for your mom and fill it with Tea Drops. It's a one-of-a-kind gift straight from the heart. We know she'll love it.

We are offering free "Mom" personalization on all wooden box offers with the  discount code LOVEMOM. See below on how to add the upgrade to your cart. After she's enjoyed all her Tea Drops, she can take a peek at our DIY tutorial for a way to repurpose your beautiful, thoughtful gift

The 10th Annual Tea Lovers Festival, happening May 1-3 in Pasadena, California is a wonderful destination for experienced and tea novices alike. Tea fans gather from all over in beautiful Southern California to share age-old tea traditions and make entirely news ones, hosting tea ceremonies, tea labs, and the ever-poular (and free!) tea artisan marketplace. Tea Drops will have a table at the marketplace so plan a special tea-themed day for mom--we'd love to meet her!

If your mother is enamored with the tradition of the Japanese tea ceremony but you can't quite budget a trip to Japan in time for May, the Tea Drops-hosted Teatime Around The World Lab is the perfect Mother's Day gift. This experience, consisting of a guided tour around the world where guests will sip tea and enjoy dessert parirings, is priced at $35 (+ $2.92 processing fee) on the Tea Lovers Festival Eventbrite page. You can snap up an extra 10% savings with the code MOMLOVESTEA so don't delay! Reserve this unique experience for mom today.

Quick Matcha Green Tea Latte

This is the perfect morning pick-me-up or late-afternoon treat that will be sure to keep that slump at bay!

1 Matcha Green Tea Drop
1/2 C filtered water
1/2 C almond milk (or your favorite milk variety!)
Vanilla extract to taste
Dash cinnamon, to taste

Bring water to boil in a pot on the stovetop. Drop in your Matcha Green Tea Drop and stir until dissolved. Add in 1/2 of your milk and stir. Add a splash of vanilla extract and dash of cinnamon to taste, stirring until your latte is boiling in the pot. Pour into your favorite cup and enjoy! (Careful as you sip--it may be hot!)

Healthy Matcha Green Tea + Fudge Protien Bars

Makes: 10 bars

1/3 C Almond Butter
1 cup Unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk variety of choice!)
1 tsp Stevia extract
10 Drops lemon flavor
8 Scoops vanilla protein powder (*recipe advises--do not use whey protien!)
1/2 C Oat flour
4 Matcha Green Tea Drops
8 oz. Mini dark chocolate bits

Line a baking  pan with parchment paper to keep your bars from sticking. Using a stand or hand mixer, combine the almond butter, milk, stevia and lemon, mixing on low speed. In a separate bowl, whisk together protein powder, oat flour and matcha powder. Add gradually to the stand mixer bowl, while still beating on low. Continue mixing until the mixture is even, scraping down the sides as needed. The recipe source states that your contents should resemble cookie dough.

Scoop the "dough" into the pan and flatten the surface a spatula or spoon. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. The next day, slice your protein bars, drizzling them all over with chocolate, to taste. Enjoy!
